Why Do We Call It Shajar

The motive behind the name of the organization “Shajar”:

It is based on the Hadith —
Volume 1, Book 3, Number 58:
Narrated Ibn ‘Umar: Allah’s Apostle said,

“Amongst the trees, there is a tree, the leaves of which do not fall and is like a Muslim. Tell me the name of that tree.”

Everybody started thinking about the trees of the desert areas. And I thought of the date-palm tree but felt shy to answer the others then asked, “What is that tree, O Allah’s Apostle?”

He replied, “It is the date-palm tree.” 🌟

The date-palm tree — this is a good tree to which Allah likened the word of Tawheed when it is established in the sincere heart, where it bears fruits of good deeds that strengthen Eemaan (faith).

Mission and Vision:

Our weekend classes are free for underprivileged children and orphans. We focus on imparting Islamic as well as general knowledge.

Our objective is to bring an Islamic guide and discipline within the child. Our organization focuses on working for the overall development of the child.

Along with offline services, we provide online free sessions every weekend from various professionals.

Our aim is to bring a positive impact in the Ummah through Islamic education. We try to shape the behavior, manners, and akhlaq of the child, making them aware of Islamic etiquette and norms.

Rahat e Biryani

“Feeding with dignity, serving with love.”

Rahat e Biryani is a compassionate initiative by Shajar Learning Foundation, serving warm, flavourful biryani to those often overlooked—orphans, widows, daily wage workers, and struggling families.

Each meal is made possible with just ₹1—a token of generosity that goes a long way. And what’s beautiful? That same ₹1 is reused in the next Rahat e Biryani project, multiplying your impact with every plate served.

This is more than a meal.
It’s a cycle of care, barakah, and community.

We have seperate male and female section, if you are interested in doing on field volunteering.

Sponsor a meal. Share a smile. Repeat the goodness.
