Shajar is a non profit islamic organisation. Our focus is to impart correct islamic education in every city. Shajar is a weekend islamic school for children and youth.
Our Projects
We have a project named Mini Camps for Mini Muslims,It has six annual camps. Our camps are considered some of the best out there! We hold several workshops and seminars across the year for different age groups. Our project and largest camp is held in the month of Ramadan. The Ramadan camp, attracts over 250 children and youth from across the city of kolkata. It is an experience that lasts a lifetime.
Each of our Initiative is selective and bespoke thought-leadership programmes. This involves outdoor activities like seminars,camps, excursions, and retreats -which serves as a platform for enthusiastic Muslims to develop into principled leaders, with authentic knowledge and a comprehensive Islamic vision.
About Our Classes
We Are Providing an Environment for Our Students to Grow & Excel
We have summer and winter islamic classes for school going children specially moduled for the youngsters. To nurture the essence of an authentic understanding of Islamic principles through fun activities, and our lessons are carefully designed to instill a strong sense of islamic identity. We hold our youth schemes in several locations across Kolkata such as Taltala, Ripon Street, park circus attracting over 300+ young children and girls every year.
About Our Youths And Volunteers
Shajar provides it’s youths and volunteers with a well structured training session, involving personal and group mentorship,leadership, management and other opportunities. New exciting Opportunities and experiences designed to produce the next generation of young leaders. Our development programmes have created amazing impact on young Muslim, encouraging to become future leaders.
We collaborate and support local circles, projects, local organisations and youth clubs in Kolkata, West Bengal, from weekly circles to environmental projects, social,charity work and other community projects. We provide resources and training to enhance the leadership characteristics among our volunteers. Our network involves local community leaders. Each program affects 100s of young lives.

A dedicated Master’s student in English Literature at Calcutta University and an experienced tutor, I believe deeply in the power of learning as a lifelong journey. As a director at Shajar, I’m committed to fostering an environment where young minds can flourish, aiming to make a lasting impact on the world by inspiring talent and empowering the next generation to create a brighter, more inclusive future.
